As the pandemic took its toll on so many Class of 2022 prospects over the past 15 months, there is one group that has been receiving plenty of attention during the summer.
With defensive linemen becoming a spot where college coaches are looking this year, Miami-Dade and Broward County seniors have certainly made a splash – not just locally – but nationally as well – as defensive ends, edge rushers and interior linemen are turning heads.
While south Florida has never really been a place where quarterbacks would line up for national recognition, but things have changed.
With more instruction and national attention, the quarterbacks in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties continue to get some looks – and for several who learned and played in the #305 and #954 – things are beginning to pay off.
There is no hiding the fact that when it comes to producing running backs, Miami-Dade and Broward Counties have always been near the top at sending some amazing talent to the collegiate level.
No matter what class it is, there have long been standout backs who started to make some noise in high school – and have gone on to the next level, and beyond.

A year after Florida Memorial University’s football program had its “rebirth” season – the program’s first football season after a 62-year hiatus – derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lions are ready to take the field again this coming fall.
We already know that the pandemic cut into the recruiting for the Class of 2022 more than any other class – with two missed springs for exposure.
This group has been busy over the past year, sending out film and getting word out to colleges and universities that they are out there and have so much to offer.
