Recruiting News

EYE ON RECRUITING: Coral Glades Jaguars

If you have followed us long enough, you already know that very few promote EVERY and Broward Counties – at ALL levels.

With that in mind, colleges coaches from Hawaii to Maine and every in between keep an eye on what we produce.

We have never been in this to sell subscriptions or spotlight star-rated athletes. This is ALL about getting prospect information out to colleges and universities at every level.

With that said – and you know what we do and why we are here 365 days a year going to events, practices, camps, combines, and games and NOT sitting behind a computer – we will spend this off-season getting everyone promoted.

For over a half century, we have been honored to help football prospects across the state of Florida get some well-deserved recognition.

We not only put these prospects on this website for all fans to see and follow, but all the information that is provided to us is passed on to the over 500 college coaches that are part of our recruiting coverage. Today’s EYE ON RECRUITING will be on Coral Springs Coral Glades (Twitter: @Dillard_DHS) guided by head coach Cameron Thomas, whose Panthers are coming off a season where they came away with wins against Coral Springs and Coral Springs Taravella.

Coach Thomas can be reached at: Contact (954) 716-0343. Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

5 Broward Rising 2025 Football Players

If you follow what we do throughout the course of a year, you already know that anyone who plays football in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties is what we concentrate on.

Unlike many fan websites who focus on the star-rated athletes, we go beyond that and recognize that Power 5 and Group of 5 football are not the only games in town.

While we do spotlight many of those elite players, we also make sure that those football prospects who will perform at the D2, D3, NAIA, Junior College, FSC and Prep Schools are also put in the spotlight to get their share of the attention.

Today we turn our attention to five Class of 2025 football players from Broward County who are not getting the attention, but still have dreams of one day playing at the next level while getting a college education.

Among those gifted young men include:

Toby Aurilla, DB/Athlete, 5-10, 160, Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy. 3.8 GPA. Here is a two-way standout who has stepped up for the Eagles on both sides of the ball. A sure tackler who has the athleticism to come up with key tackles as well as make an impact on coverage from his cornerback position. An instinctive player who leads by example.

Samael Hung, DT/OL, 6-0, 235, Coral Springs Taravella. 3.3 GPA. Because he plays for a program that rarely gets any exposure, this is someone who really has a chance to be special. A true nose tackle on the defensive side of the ball. Someone who is strong and competes with plenty of passion. Very tough to block because he plays low and makes it tough to get into his body. Yet another of these under-the-radar talents who makes an impact.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/18378272/63f6e81864df1d09ac504445

Tyler Jackson, Athlete, 5-9, 165, Fort Lauderdale Stranahan. No matter where he lines up, here is a quality talent who continues to get better and turns heads. Watch him play and you will see him make plays on both sides of the ball and on special teams where he showcases his aggressive style of play. A slot receiver who gets open and will make plays. Keep an eye on this young man. He is indeed a fast-rising prospect.

Shamauri O’Brien, CB, 5-11, 145, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. On a team loaded with big time playmakers, here is a young, gifted football player who has the chance to make an impact this coming season. No the biggest player on the field, but his skill level gives him a chance to cover receivers who may have a physical advantage, but NOT be better as a pure football player. This is the type of football talent that this team features every season. Another prospect to keep an eye on.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17466113/Shamauri-OBrien

Tyler Seraphin, FS/CB South Plantation. If you watch this young man play, you can see that he is certainly someone who needs to be watched over the next year. As a cover cornerback he is athletic, has tremendous anticipation and is not afraid to fight for balls against some of the top receivers. His confidence level continues to go up every time he takes the field. His play as a safety showcases his aggressive style that the Paladins will certainly need moving forward. Can make plays in the open field.

2026 Miami-Dade/Broward Defensive Backs Start To Turn Heads

When it comes to defensive backs in south Florida – especially in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties – the list of amazing performers is long and productive.

From the high school level throughout college and into the NFL, for as long as anyone can remember, the talent that was produced in the secondary.

With so many athletes that are taught and trained to play cornerback and safety, the amount of impact players at the next level is amazing.

Just watching Chad Wilson and his All Eyes Defensive Back Camp workouts each weekend, you can see so many tremendous players who are on the radar way before the analysts have ever heard of them.

Instructors like Wilson and others get these talented football players from the earliest age to teach them the right way to do things.

It is because of players who compete in the defensive secondary, having a freshman or sophomore leave a mark in their first year.

The rising sophomore class of 2026 has some impressive athletic talent that were indeed on the radar before current lists were made, and while Wilson had talked about this group of skilled players years ago, many are just discovering them now.

2024 Miami-Dade/Broward Linebackers Making Strides

As we continue to promote and examine every position and every player in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, we continue to uncover some impressive prospects.

No matter what position or class, we have had the chance to watch film, see athletes live in so many settings that when we rank players, we have a much better feel about players than most who sit behind a computer and watch very few - if any of our standouts perform live and in person.

Recruiting has sadly reached a level where fans, coaches and players will follow a source just on the lists they produce – never taking into consideration that many players they rank or evaluate comes from video and NOT watching them in a live setting to determine character and the intangibles that truly make up the recruiting process.

THOSE 2024 LINEBACKERS ARE ON THE RISE

One of the positions we all continue to watch are the linebackers. With many underclassmen starting to make their way, today we look at some rising seniors in the class of 2024.

Remember, since hundreds and hundreds of college coaches view our lists, getting it right is indeed the most important part of what we do.

If there are any linebackers who no longer play the position or who have transferred, please let us know so we can immediately make the change. Just send to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Among those prospects you will want to keep an eye on include Dylan Calero (Miami Gulliver Prep), Lathan Croley (Miami Palmetto), recent transfer Carlos “C.J.” Dales (Davie Western), productive Bowen Drewes (Plantation American Heritage), rover Terrell Franklin (Miami St. Brendan), Ryan Geary (Weston Cypress Bay), Aidan Harris (Fort Lauderdale Dillard) and play-making standout Denzell Johnson (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna).

Also, there are Jarvis Johnson (Miami Westminster Christian - OLB), Jerome Johnson (Miami Northwestern - OLB), Charquez Lee (Miami Palmetto), Leroy Lee Jr. (Doral Academy), James Lewis (Miami Booker T. Washington), Darrion Lovinsky - Miami Central - OLB), recent transfer Amen Mackey (OLB) and teammate Gavin Mortazavi (Miami Palmetto - OLB), and difference maker Eduardo Nunez (Homestead).

The Class of 2024 also boasts prospects such as Roman Reid (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons), difference makers Nicholas Rodriguez (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), and Miami Central’s Vincent Shavers and Lamar Smith. This amazing group also spotlights Kaleb Stewart (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Daris Swan (Miami Palmetto – OLB), Eldreen Terma (Miami Edison), Keith Thompson (Fort Lauderdale Dillard), Omar Thornton (Plantation American Heritage), and Miami Northwestern’s Felix Ward and Antwan Williams.
