Coral Gables Has Football Prospects Ready For The Next Level

After a 5-4 season, Coral Gables High’s football program still has some seniors who are looking to continue playing and receive an education.

While it’s getting tougher for student/athletes to get to that next level – because of the transfer portal and other things that have played a part in the process, it isn’t as easy to get the financial assistance needed to move on to college.

While high school athletes are doing their part by working hard on the football field and in the classroom, we are now in 2024 where it takes work by players, families and coaches to attain that dream.

For veteran head coach Frank Welsh and the Cavaliers helping these young men move on to that next level has been the objective and what he has been doing since starting his coaching career many years ago.

Here is a look at some of the senior prospects still searching:
