There is no getting around the fact that this once powerhouse program has fallen off the past few years.
Alumni and fans have watched the Chiefs lose prospects and attempt to build this program back to being a contender.
Enter Dorean James, who took over last year and tried to start the process of putting the Chiefs back on the map.
Loaded with some quality talent, the job this off-season has been to put in the work and make sure that everyone is buying in to this rebuild.
For a program who has been so used to winning and having a presence in the playoffs, the objective is to get back to the basics and build this into a winner.
While the spring was solid, it’s what is happening during the summer that will determine how 2022 goes. The fans remain supportive but know the feeling of being a winning program and they want that feeling to return to Miami Gardens.
