If you have followed us long enough, you already know that very few people promote EVERY prospect in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties – at ALL levels.
With that in mind, colleges coaches from Hawaii to Maine and everywhere in between keep an eye on what we produce.
We have never been in this to sell subscriptions or spotlight star-rated athletes. This is ALL about getting prospect information out to colleges and universities at every level.
With that said – and you know what we do and why we are here 365 days a year going to events, practices, camps, combines and games and NOT sitting behind a computer – we will spend this off-season getting everyone promoted.
For over a half century, we have been honored to help football prospects across the state of Florida get some well-deserved recognition.
We not only put these prospects on this website for all fans to see and follow, but all the information that is provided to us is passed on to the over 500 college coaches that are part of our recruiting coverage. Today’s EYE ON RECRUITING will be on Fort Lauderdale NSU University School (@uschoolfootball) guided by head coach Mike Norman, whose Sharks are coming off an impressive 6-4 season which included winning four of the final five games. Coach Norman can be reached at: 305-962-5367. Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

While many recruiting services and fan websites are consumed with star-rated football prospects, which often sell subscriptions, we have done just the opposite over the years.
Yes, we still pay attention to the football talent that every college and fan knows all about – needing little exposure – our main objective is to make sure that we have everyone covered, providing the exposure that many truly need.
With hundreds and hundreds of college coaches checking in on our year-round promotion – at every level – the spotlight that we shine often shifts from state-rated athletes to football talent that are new to many fans.
You can only uncover these gifted young men by going to watch them perform when other recruiting “gurus” are nowhere to be found.
What we do is rewarding and quite gratifying, and coaches, athletes and parents understand how important is to see us out at afternoon games and actually seeing their talent. It’s the only way we know how to cover recruiting. No shortcuts or sitting behind a computer.
When we travel year-round to games, practices, camps, combine and 7-on-7 events – it’s all about watching these risings standouts live and finding out plenty about them.
Today, we take a look at five Class of 2025 “Fresh Faces” in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties:
Dante Alexander, Athlete, 6-3, 200, Miami Springs. Armed with an impressive 2.9 grade point average, this versatile talent has already turned heads for the Golden Hawks with his ability to pretty much play anywhere on the field. His four interceptions and 33 tackles on the defensive side of the ball gave colleges a chance to see what a game-changer he is. On offense, his five touchdowns provided this program with someone who was not a just factor but a quality teammate. Has the size and skill to be a force for years to come.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17996718/Dante-Alexander-Jr
Nathan Avael, SS/QB, 5-10, 160, Miami Varela. When you watch this versatile talent perform, you can see right away what an impact player he is. Whether it’s on defense or as a quarterback for the Vipers, this quality talent is a true leader, which is huge for someone only headed into his junior season. In addition to what he brings to the table as a football player and a special teams player, his work in the classroom has produced a 3.3 GPA.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16600143/Nathan-Avael
Jacques Dixson Jr., RB, 5-9, 185, Fort Lauderdale NSU University School. While he may not be the biggest player on the field, this is someone who sparked this football team with his ability to run hard, find holes and runs to daylight. Has deceptive speed and is not easy to bring down on first contact. He has also shown that he can catch the ball out of the backfield. In addition to his play on field, he is also getting it done in the classroom – with an impressive 3.7 GPA. Haw two seasons left to continue growing and maturing, and colleges will continue to watch.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16163962/Jacques-Dixson-Jr
Matias Garcia, OL/DL, 6-3, 270, Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy. Watching him play this past season, this is a promising young man who has added and inch and gained 17 pounds over a year. A two-way player with a motor that never stops. Just when you think he’s out of a play on defense, he follows the runner and makes an impact. On the offensive side of the ball, he is getting bigger and stronger and with that comes a lot of confidence. This is one of those prospects who figures to blow up over the next two seasons and give the Eagles yet another collegiate prospect to keep an eye on.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16715596/Matias-Garcia
Rudy Pages, LT/DE, 6-4, 230, Miami Ransom Everglades. This may be one of those football players that just takes off and we first saw that this past year as this two-way standout showed exactly what he brings to the table. Easily as talented and physical a prospect as you will find. While he is an aggressive and gifted offensive lineman, what he brings to the table on the defensive side of the ball is a quick, strong and talented player that is a MUST SEE for colleges at ALL levels. As he grows, matures and gets stronger his confidence will soar. Did we mention that he happens to hold down a 3.8 GPA in the classroom!

One of the things that we continue to do each and every year is attempt to get all high school football prospects exposure.
There is a feeling that many football players will take care of themselves when it comes to getting college scholarship assistance and that is far from the truth.
While a majority of recruiting services are pretty much fixed on exposing and promoting star-rated players, we have always gone against that grain, giving student/athletes the same opportunity to continue playing this great sport while receiving a college education.
We have long believed that if a student/athlete I qualified to get to that next level, we will use every contact and resource that we have compiled for over six decades as well as the over 100,000 social media users.
Call us old school for outdated like some want to say, the fact is we have helped more student/athletes in all sports gain the exposure needed to at least get some recognition.
Anyone who sacrifices year and year to playing this sport deserve the chance to continue playing at the next level while receiving a college education that will pave the way for the future.
Here is an ongoing list that college coaches will continue to keep an eye on throughout January and into the second National Signing Day period.
If you have a qualified football prospect from this senior class (2023), please send the football video link, educational information, and social media contact to: This email address is being protected from spambots. What makes south Florida so different than any other area of the country when it comes to off-season football is the competition never ends.
With college recruiting becoming a solid 12 month a year business, camps, combines and 7-on-7 events make this one of the busiest time of the year.
What the next seven months will represent is a chance for all prospects, no matter what year they may be, an opportunity to showcase their many skills while pushing themselves into the spotlight.
With so much attention being paid to this area of the nation, athletes can watch their stock soar in just one weekend, and that is why colleges and universities are paying full attention.
If you follow us throughout the course of a season, you already know that we identify more prospects than any other source – which comes from attending many events and not just sitting home behind a computer.
With the camp, combine and 7-on-7 season getting ready to move into high gear, we start the week off with a look at five football players to keep an eye on:
2026 - Jordan Campbell, DE, 6-2, 202, Hollywood Avant Garde. Whether they play him at defensive end or outside linebacker this is certainly a football talent that makes a difference. Quick off the ball, sure tackler and someone who continues to learn and mature. His quickness and athletic ability are noticed as soon as you watch him play. Competes with passion and love for the game. Over the next three years – as he grows and matures - you can guarantee this will be a prospect that colleges will be watching very closely. Keep your eye on this young man. He is the real deal.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16898420/Jordan-Campbell
2024 - Jermaine Dalias, S, 6-3, 195, Fort Dillard. They call him “Big Dog” – not just because of his size, but the way this recent Coconut Creek Monarch standout approaches the game and makes big plays. His athletic ability and skill level have already been noticed for the way he covers and tackles. Extremely physical prospect who has turned into one of the best in south Florida, and this off-season you will see his stock continue to rise.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/15313095/633514486899190ed876608c
2024 - Malachi Keels, RB/WR/SS, 5-10, 170, Miami Westminster Christian. Having watched this young man play over the past two years, he is indeed one of the most versatile prospects in his class – playing on both sides of the line of scrimmage as well as special teams. While his biggest gift on offense is to run the ball, he is equally as effective catching and using his skill to make big plays. On defense his overall athleticism puts him in the right place to make plays. Truly a prospect that continues to gain momentum.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/12530389/Malachi-Keels
2025 - Anthony Ottinot, LB, 6-1, 195, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. Following in the rather large footsteps of his father who was a tremendous student/athlete in high school at Miami Edison and at the collegiate level, here is the next great player at a school that has turned out some stellar talent. Reads plays very well and is always around the ball. Another of those impressive prospects who will continue to improve as he learns and matures.
TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16509429/anthony-ottinot
2024 - Juan Rodriguez, RB, 5-9, 190, Miami Beach. One of the football players that fans and opponents are starting to learn more about. A powerful, quick and strong runner who had nearly 900 yards for the Hi Tides this past season. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield also makes him someone who will pick up recruiting interest this coming year. This off-season will open some unique opportunities as college coaches will see what he brings to the table.

For the past 12 years, Dennis Marroquin and his amazing group of coaches and organizers had provided a 7-on-7 experience that thousands of south Florida athletes have used as springboard.
With an alumni roster that includes current collegiate and NFL stars, the Florida Fire has earned a reputation as being one of the most talented 7-on-7 off season programs nationally.
With national titles in hand, this organization has been so popular that Marroquin and his impressive group of coaches and analysts have been able to open up a new world for so many talented athletes – from Orlando to south Miami and everywhere in between.
Last Friday night, Doral Academy was the site for the Florida Fire 13th annual tryout and talent showcase, and well over 150 football players in all classes (2024-2027) came out on a cool evening to do what they do best – play football.
With spots open on all their teams, this Friday, the 13 event truly lived up to its billing – with gifted football talent spending over two hours making an impression.
While there were so many players on hand – some for the first time – here is a look at some of the standouts who came out in hopes of making the roster.
“We prepare for this night and this season all year,” Marroquin explained. “There are so many coaches and sponsors who make this a reality.”
In a world where many south Florida 7-on-7 teams have opted to use players from outside the area, the Florida Fire prefers to keep this group local, and things have worked out just fine.
With an impressive tournament schedule ahead, here is a look at just a few of the prospects who made their way out as Doral head coach Eddie Delgado and his staff rolled out the red carpet:
