When you come across very talented football teams like there are in south Florida, it is easy for a top-fight prospect to be hidden.
There are so many gifted football prospects that every year you find quality talent that either get overlooked – or doesn’t receive the publicity and attention that they deserve.
As running back is one of those positions where athletes shine in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, often times these impressive prospects are lumped together – and in some cases – taken for granted.
Look at the history of high school football and you will see many athletes who are passed over as sophomores and juniors, only to rise up in their final year and take the world by storm.
JACKSON PROFILE
PLAYER: Siddiq Jackson
POSITION: RB
SCHOOL: Miami Northwestern
CLASS: 2021
HEIGHT: 5-10
WEIGHT: 190
SCOUTING: Ask anyone who has watched this young man perform and everyone will tell you that there are very few backs who run harder and give you more than he does.
The three-time defending state champions have long churned out top-flight running backs, but in this young man – they have something very special. A power back who is very much a team player. One that will combine with the other impressive athletes this team has and make the most of his opportunity.
College coaches who have watched him perform understand that this is someone who has a chance this coming season to elevate his status.
Remember, while he is always searching for a scholarship and wants to continue playing this game at the next level, he also understands that this is a team game – and like he did the past year – knows that splitting time with other gifted runners will help the Bulls to an amazing fourth straight state title.
