And the hits keep coming in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
When Miami Palmetto and Miami Christopher Columbus square off today in a huge 4M matchup at Tropical Park, you could have the best two 4M teams in Florida on display.
Both head coach Dave Dunn and his Explorers, and Mike Manasco and the Panthers have been looking forward to this Saturday special all season – and as the fourth week of the 2023 season is coming to an end, this is a game that could set the tone for the season.
While this should be the first of two meetings this season between the No. 7 Panthers and the No. 3 Explorers, it promises to be a game that will not only capture the local spotlight, but the state will be watching as well.

There is no doubting that this week – the fourth week of the 2023 high school football season 0 there have been some impressive games.
At the start of the season, we had explained that this could be one of the most competitive seasons we have ever had – and with so many games grabbing national attention, there is a reason for that statement.

The Lions polished off national power Bergen Catholic of New Jersey as they look to make a claim for a coveted national title. If they are to accomplish that, they will have to do it on the road -where they play eight times this season.

While both counties have some quality games, there are two spotlight games in Broward County to keep an eye on. Check out these two contests:
No. 16 Davie Western at No. 4 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, 7. Two teams who started this season in the spotlight as part of the second annual Broward County National Football Showcase, and the spotlight continues to shine.
Both programs are coming off thrilling games – with the Raiders and head coach Roger Harriott holding on at home, 37-36, to defending 2S state champion Cocoa.
The Wildcats and head coach Adam Ratkevich were upset at home against a surging Coconut Creek program.

Before the 2023 high school football season began, many experts warned about the first five weeks of the year.
As we head toward Week No. 4, you can see exactly what everyone was talking about – with key matchups taking center stage.
With the Jewish holiday switching many games around this week, there are some spotlight contests that will feature several teams within the Top 20 who are playing one another.
While this past week saw very little shakeup at the top, there were several programs who moved up and down the listing of teams.
Here is how Week 4 shapes up:
1. Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna (1M, 3-0). LAST WEEK: The Lions jumped all over national power Bergen Catholic, New Jersey, 61-21. THIS WEEK: at No. 6 Plantation American Heritage. NEXT WEEK: at No. 2 Miami Central.
2. Miami Central (2M, 1-1). LAST WEEK: Beat No. 12 Miami Booker T. Washington, 38-28. THIS WEEK: Miami Carol City. NEXT WEEK: No. 1 Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna.
3. Miami Christopher Columbus (4M, 3-0). LAST WEEK: Rolled to a 42-14 win at Tampa Jesuit. THIS WEEK: No. 7 Miami Palmetto on Saturday. NEXT WEEK: A home game against No. 17 Miami Northwestern.
