To say that Boyd Anderson has not been relevant on the football field for much of the past decade would indeed be an understatement.
In the past 66 games, the Cobras have been 22-44, which includes a pair of 1-9 seasons.
While many have become used to this program not being in the playoff mix, there are some like B.A. graduates and current head coach Kevin Claxton who are not accustomed to the program being on the bottom of the pile.
This is Lauderdale Lakes – where youth football used to dominate the landscape and send many of the elite players to 3050 NW 41st Street in Lauderdale Lakes.
Claxton was a huge part of that success before going on to star at the University of Wisconsin and eventually coach in Madison for the Badgers.
What will it take for things to turn around? First of all, this program needs to start taking back their community – and instead of seeing these prospects head to other schools – they need that year-round commitment to getting better.
The rising senior (2025) class will be looked upon this coming season for the talent and leadership.
