While they finished 11-2 and came up with a post-season playoff win, head coach Helder Valle and his Miami Immaculata LaSalle football team felt that they didn’t finish what they started.
Usually when you win double digit games, it means that you take home a district title, but that didn’t happen. They lost to Miami Booker T. Washington during the season, ending their hopes of winning a district. To make matters worse, they were knocked out of the playoffs in the second round of the state playoffs by the Tornadoes.
This past week, the Royal Lions beat that same Booker T. Washington team convincingly, 31-0, and moved closer to winning their first district title since 1974.
