As many south Florida teams get ready for Week 2 of the Florida High School Athletic Association state playoffs, two Miami-Dade County programs get ready to crown a champion.
In their second meeting of the season, Miami Braddock and Miami Ferguson will clash for the Greater Miami Athletic Association (GMAC) Independent title.
Back in Sept. 28, these two rivals met in a regular season matchup at Tropical Stadium that attracted over 2,500 fans – with Braddock coming away with an exciting 29-26 win.
That game was thrilling and went back and forth as Ferguson veteran head coach Gene Chew and Braddock’s J.T. Torres led their respective teams for one of the most memorable finishes in recent history.
Tonight (7:00), these two programs will once again meet with everything at stake and you can guarantee that the crowd will be large and the outcome will come down to the fourth quarter.
