True North Classical Academy Kicks Off Post Season Tonight

After a strong season in 2022, where they finished 9-4, Miami’s True North Classical Academy felt great about what they were rolling out this season.

With a number of returning players coming back, which included a record setting freshman quarterback and sophomore receiver, the Titans and head coach Greg Laferre felt very confident.

With a season-ending loss to eventual state champion Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna last year, this program spent the off-season looking for ways to close the gap with the national power Lions.

Playing a competitive schedule, losing only to 2S unbeaten power Starke Bradford County and 2M playoff team West Palm Beach The King’s Academy in close games had this program feeling very confident as the state playoffs begin for 1M schools tonight (7:00) at Tropical Park against 5-5 Miami Westminster Christian.

Outscoring the opposition, 400-127, this is a team that has its sights on Chaminade once again in the Region Finals in two weeks.

Coming into this evening’s game the Titans boast freshman quarterback Zac Katz (2,188 passing yards, 27 touchdowns), two-way (receiver/defensive back) Jasen Lopez, versatile senior Joshua Reyes, freshman defensive back Dominic Turnbull, senior defensive back Clifton Brown III, freshman running back Johnathan Bueno Jr., senior receiver Reed Ramirez, eighth grade linebacker Steven Moore, sophomore Camaul King, freshman linebacker George Harris, versatile freshman Lamari Simmons, senior sack specialist Stephen McCloud and others, this is a program that is ready for the challenge.
