Having the pleasure of watching more football prospects LIVE in game conditions than any other source, we discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.

Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.

SCOUTING: It should come as no surprise that when it comes to developing talent and getting the most out of his athletes, head coach Tommy Lewis has few rivals.

With the quarterback position a priority, Lewis and the Lions looked to one of the best athletes on the team. Someone who had the size, athletic ability and leadership to run an offense – as well as continue to accomplish what he has as a linebacker.

With experience at this position, Welch stepped in and has not missed a beat. His arm strength, accuracy and ability to run has given this program an athlete that will more than add balance to the position – with a solid running game, impressive linemen and some pass catchers.

If you have followed Coach Lewis throughout his coaching career, he has had versatile football talent around him. Players with leadership and the ability to elevate the team. Welch is certainly one of those young men.
