Who Are The Top Players & What Roles Will They Play During The Season?
Versatile Key West Standout Preston Hence Is A Star In The Making

The one thing that we will continue to do during this pandemic and throughout the 2020 season is promote every athlete in south Florida.

No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, we will promote EVERY PROSPECT in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Having the pleasure of watching more football prospects LIVE in game conditions than any other source, we discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.

Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.

PLAYER: Preston Herce

SCHOOL: Key West

CLASS: 2022

SCOUTING: When we recently talked about Key West High’s football program and highlighted some of the prospects that the Conchs have on the roster, there were a number of talented athletes profiled. But one of those gifted prospects is someone who just may be a student/athlete that will be talked about plenty for years to come.

Not only was Preston Herce the leading rusher and top tackler this past season as a sophomore, but this gifted young man is a three sport athlete who is also drawing plenty of attention in basketball and baseball, where he is not only one of the top players on the team, but is regarded as one of Florida’s top rising stars.

Because Key West rarely grabs the spotlight because they are located a distance from the action in south Florida – you have had stars such as George Mira, Corey Sawyer, Ran Carthan and Speedy Neal on the football field – as well as Boog Powell, Randy Sterling, Vic Albury and Khalil Greene on the baseball diamond.

As a football player, Herce has size, quickness and plenty of athletic ability that this program will definitely utilize over the next two seasons.

He is also a basketball standout for this school as well.

As we stated last week, they may be off the recruiting grid, but it hasn’t stopped this school from producing some quality talent – collegiately and professionally.

For the past 50 years, we have spent more time on football fields than anyone in the country. From games to practices, camps, combines and 7-on-7 events, nobody has evaluated more football talent than we have – and as we are in the midst of a pandemic like no other time before – we will remain steadfast to promote all south Florida’s high school football prospects.
