Another day and yet more prospects from Florida are turning heads somewhere.
Follow high school football teams on their summer tours of colleges and you are watching memories unfold – while getting the opportunity to get in front of college coaches on their campuses.
From the northeast to many of the programs in the southeast and the Atlantic coast, they are alive with daily visitors who are seeing these schools for the first time – while getting in front of the elite coaches in the country.
The life lessons that many are learning will be valuable when they head off to school, and for some, be on their own for the for the first time.
BOHLER PROFILE
PLAYER: Derrick Bohler
POSITION: WR
SCHOOL: Miami Palmetto
CLASS: 2023
HEIGHT: 6-2
WEIGHT: 195
SCOUTING: One look at this young man and you can tell that he just didn’t come from Texas to Florida to blend in.
What head coach Mike Manasco and the Panthers have in this impressive underclassman is someone, when healthy, could end up dominating the elite talent that is in place for the next two years. He also joins a group of Class of 2023 junior receivers who are receiving plenty of attention.
What he brings to the table is athleticism, football skill, size, speed and a work ethic that is hard to match.
Watch his sophomore season at 9-2 San Antonio Reagan, and you can tell right away that this is not just another guy. He made plays and helped his team win.
With bloodlines in south Florida (father went to Killian), this is truly a talent that will be hard to miss when things start to heat up in 2021.
Even in his two brief south Florida spring appearances, you had someone who turned heads, but turned those heads at less than 100 percent, and that is why the Panthers figure to be one of those offensive shows to keep an eye on.
