If you want to know why south Florida continues to be an area that college coaches flock to each year, all you have to do is trace the talent that is produced annually.

No matter what class it may be, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties seem to have that right formula for churning out talent that is ready to make an impact the moment they arrive in high school.

As this region is always stacked with talent, the success of these athletes can be traced back to the competitive youth football programs that exist from Florida City to Boynton Beach.

When building a program, it is always wise not only to have quality seniors, but also some younger prospects who can make a major difference.

SCOUTING: One of the top freshman in the country – with offers from just about every college you can imagine, this is one of those freshmen who has already made a huge impact.

When schools such as Penn State, Texas A&M, Florida, FSU, LSU and several others have paid plenty of attention in your freshman season, you are doing things right.

Working with his head coach Derrick Gibson, a one-time Killian, FSU and Raiders’ standout safety, you can understand why Cougar fans are already comparing this gifted young man to another big time Killian standout Jaquan Johnson, who just happened to be a four time All-State selection before heading to the University of Miami and the NFL.

This is a playmaker with plenty of size, skill level and passion for the game.

With several other youngsters in the secondary along with him, 2020 will certainly be a fun season – with plenty of learning going on.
