SPRING SPOTLIGHT: Wayne Favors III Getting It Done For The Chiefs

As we are now fully into the off-season – with camps and combines filling the calendar – spring is about to arrive.

Perhaps the most important part of the recruiting process, spring practice was taken away last season because of Covid, and while we are still battling this pandemic, the show will finally go on.

While college coaches will not be in the mix for the second consecutive year because of the ongoing pandemic, at least there will be a spring with practices, scrimmages and games at the end of May.

The best exposure period for football talent will need to be detoured once again this year. Those normally annoying home videos will actually be very helpful this year – as friends and parents can actually post that football and is open for college coaches to take a peak, but your local high school coach has that all covered.

Adjustments have been made for spring – and we will continue to be around to see what prospects are grabbing the attention once again.

THE FAVORS PROFILE

PLAYER: Wayne Favors III

POSITION: DB

SCHOOL: Miami Carol City

CLASS: 2022

HEIGHT: 6-0

WEIGHT: 175

SCOUTING: It’s not hard to be a fan of Wayne Favors III. He plays the game hard and with plenty of passion. He is indeed exactly what the Chiefs needed.

We liked him at Miramar, and now, with another full year of maturity under his belt, this is going to be a special season for this impressive playmaker.

What makes this quality talent so special is the way he approaches the game, and how he is always looking for competition to get himself better.

Watched him perform last season and loved the way he plays that corner position. He will stick with you and go through you to make plays. Anticipates extremely well and is not afraid to jump a route. Can also play the safety position because he loves to fly around.

When all is said and done, here is a prospect that can make Carol City a better football team in 2021.
