While North Miami Beach finished 4-7 last season and finished 2-2 in a competitive district, there were many things that the Chargers could be excited about.
This program lined up against eight state playoff opponents, competing against some of the toughest teams in the state. They have long been criticized for playing such a rigorous schedule but playing the opponents they do helped to land the Chargers in the state playoffs.
With veteran head coach Jeff Bertani in charge at his alma mater for much of the past three decades (third longest tenure in the state), he has managed to turn out top-flight players and advanced to the state playoffs.
As this current rising senior (2025) class will lead, add experience and talent, the future of this program is what excites Bertani, his coaches and fans.
There are three 2025 players who will become those leaders and lay the foundation for the future.

HOW ABOUT THAT FUTURE!
With 15 underclassmen coming out of spring as prospects to watch, the Chargers believe that they have some young difference makers, who continue to be loyal to the program and have been around this team for several years as youngsters waiting their turn.
To compete with powerhouses who stack their roster with new players every year, NMB continues to develop talent from the youth program, and while winning cures everything, there are some future players who could help turn the corner.
Here are some of those future catalysts to keep an eye on:
