When Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy raced out to a 6-2 start last season, it was something that veteran head coach Kirk Hoza and his team have done several times over the past few seasons.
The first two losses in 2023 came by just two points to Miami Belen Jesuit and three at unbeaten Titusville.
What the Eagles have done in the 13 years that Hoza has been head coach us win – 78-37 to be exact.
This is a program that not only has sent student/athletes on to the next level but has made sure they appear in the post-season.
A win over Boca Raton St. Andrew’s in the opening round before losing to Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons last season – and four district titles in the past six years.
As spring winds down, this team expects more of the same in 2024 – and with a rising senior (2025) class that has talent and experience, things could get mighty interesting.
