As we are now in Week 10 of the 2025 high school football season, there are still some prime playoff spots that are still up for grabs in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

With the next two weeks bringing us some impressive matchups there are some teams that will need to win to either secure a state playoff position or a district title.

All the work that has been put in the off-season is now starting to pay off for so many football programs.

As it happens every year, the top teams have already secured their spots and here’s a look at this week’s rankings:

1 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (5A, 7-1). The Raiders fell behind early, but rallied to beat No. 19 Coconut Creek Monarch, 31-20. THIS WEEK: 10/24 - @ No. 14 Plantation American Heritage. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 – No. 3 Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna.

2. Miami Northwestern (3A, 7-1). The Bulls shut out Miami Palmetto, 28-0, in the GMAC Week contest. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – The regular season ends at Miami St. Brendan.

3. Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna (1A, 6-1). The Lions enjoyed the week off. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – No. 8 Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 - @No. 2 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas.

4. Miami Central (3A, 6-1). The Rockets came from behind to beat previously unbeaten, and No. 15 Miami Southridge, 34-28. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – Pembroke Pines Somerset Academy. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 - Miami Carol City.

5. Miami Southridge (6A, 8-1). The Spartans broke out to a huge lead, only to watch No. 6 Miami Central come back to win, 34-28 in the Greater Miami Athletic Conference title game. THIS WEEK: 10/24 - Bye. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 – Homestead South Dade.

6. Fort Lauderdale Dillard (4A, 8-0). The Panthers enjoyed the week off after an impressive start. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – Boynton Beach. NEXT WEEK: 11/1 - Deerfield Beach.

7. Pembroke Pines West Broward (6A, 6-2). The Bobcats ran away from Miramar, 52-8, as they continued to roll along. THIS WEEK: 10/23 – Miami Dr. Krop. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 - @Davie Western.

8. Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons (2A, 6-2). The Chiefs won for the third straight time, 35-13, against Boca Raton. THIS WEEK: 10/16 - Boca Raton. NEXT WEEK: 10/24 – No. 3 Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna.

9. Hollywood McArthur (5A, 6-2). The Mustangs won for the fourth consecutive time, 39-6, against Fort Lauderdale. THIS WEEK: 10/23 – South Plantation. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 - Miramar Everglades.

10. Miami True North Classical Academy (1A, 5-2). The Titans won for the fifth straight time, 42-0, over Boynton Beach Somerset Canyons. THIS WEEK: 10/24 - No. 20 Miami Christopher Columbus. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 - @Miami Westminster Christian.

11. Hialeah Gardens Mater Academy (5A, 7-1). The Lions dropped their first game of the season on the road against Lakeland Lake Gibson, 34-26. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – No. 17 Miami Immaculata LaSalle. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 - Miami Jackson.

12. Miami Palmetto (7A, 6-2). The Panthers dropped a GMAC Week contest to No. 2 Miami Northwestern, 28-0. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – Miami High. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 – Fort Myers Bishop Verot.

13. Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy (4A, 6-2). The Mavericks bounced back with a huge district win against No. 14 Plantation American Heritage. THIS WEEK: 10/24 - @No. 20 Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 – West Palm Beach The King’s Academy.

14. Plantation American Heritage (4A, 4-4). The defending 4A state champion Patriots were upset in a key district game against No. 13 Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – No. 1 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas.

15. Miami Norland (4A, 4-5). The Vikings rebounded with a GMAC Week win against Miami Christopher Columbus, 30-14. THIS WEEK: 10/24 - No. 16 Plantation in the final regular season game of the season.

16. Plantation (4A, 5-3). The Colonels won their second straight game with a 47-0 win against Pompano Beach Blanche Ely. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – No. 15 Miami Norland. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 - @South Plantation.

17. Miami Immaculata LaSalle (2A, 8-0). The Royal Lions remained unbeaten with a 40-0 win against Miami St. Brendan. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – No. 11 Hialeah Gardens Mater Academy. NEXT WEEK: 10/31 - @Miami Dr. Krop.

18. Coconut Creek (5A, 6-2). The Cougars were off this past week. THIS WEEK: 10/23 - Pompano Blanche Ely. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 – Parkland Douglas.

19. Coconut Creek Monarch (6A, 4-4). The Knights battled No. 1 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas for all four quarters before losing, 31-20.  THIS WEEK: 10/24 - Sunrise Piper. NEXT WEEK: 10/30 – Pompano Beach Blanche.

20. (TIE) - Miami Christopher Columbus (7A, 3-6). The Explorers dropped a GMAC Week game at home against Miami Norland, 30-14. won their third straight, 45-7, against Coral Gables. THIS WEEK: 10/24 – No. 10 Miami True North Classical Academy in the final regular season game of the season.

Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy (2A, 7-1). The Eagles won for the fifth straight time, 16-14, against previously unbeaten Boca Raton Saint Andrew’s Academy. THIS WEEK: 10/24 - No. 13 Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy in the final regular season game.
