When they finished 9-1 a year ago, many paid little attention. This season – with a 7-1 record – Florida Christian is getting the respect they deserve.
While many have paid attention to several schools in south Florida. Head coach Gio Montano and his staff have quietly put together an impressive program, competing in the Sunshine State Athlete Association (SSAA).
In winning 16 of 18 games over the past two years, this program has been reborn, and the players who have been a part of the recent success continue to impress and showcase plenty of talent.
When Joe Burmeister helped to put the Patriots back on the map in 2021 when they finished 8-2, things started to slide over a two-year period, but Montano and a dedicated group of quality talent has elevated this program back into the spotlight.
A GREAT MIX OF TALENT
While the Patriots do have some senior leaders on this year’s roster, many of the prospects are young and will be back for years to come.
