MIAMI-DADE/BROWARD: 5 Class of 2025 Prospects To Keep An Eye On

When you attend events in the off-season you have a huge advantage of seeing some quality prospects up close and in person - often times uncovering some prospects that nobody has watched before.

We have gone over this time and time – because it is very important to be able to see these prospects that you are ranking and evaluating live. There is no getting around it.

If you are sending information to colleges or sharing it with fans, you are selling the athlete short by looking past what you see on film or by listening to others who are often watching the same video that you are viewing.

Football skills are very important, but so is character and grades – two important factors of recruiting that you cannot tell from sitting behind your computer, and that is something that EVERY college coach will tell you.

The reason we continue to bring that up is because so many do not watch these athletes at games, practices or even evaluation combines, which is so essential in the overall recruiting process. It is something that we will bring up over and over again, so EVERYONE understands that not every ranking or player evaluation that is valid.

Speaking about valid, south Florida’s (Miami-Dade and Broward) Class of 2025 rising juniors continue to make an impact as they grow and are getting ready for the spring.

Today, we bring you five players in the class that we continue to watch and promote to college coaches across the country.

Dylan Gill, OLB, 6-4, 200, Miami Killian. Ever since he was in the eighth grade, here is a tremendous prospect that we have kept our on - promoting his accomplishments as he grows and matures. While some list him as a safety and others were getting him out there as an Edge Rusher because of his size, this is someone who will end up playing Outside Linebacker for many reasons. Because of the many prospects who left the Cougars over the past two years, it may be to his benefit to get more of the spotlight.

Jaquari “Trigg” Lewis, Slot/RB, 5-10, 170, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna. Watching him at Fort Lauderdale Dillard, this is indeed someone who is versatile enough to help the Lions and a running back, where he has balance an breakaway speed - or as a slot receiver who has plenty of skill, runs outstanding routes and is often a mismatch. Also will make a difference as return specialist. Will be an asset to a team that has as much talent as anyone in the state.

Ezekiel “EJ” Marcelin Jr., LB, 6-1, 200, Miami Central. Since he was a freshman starting for the Rockets in the state title game, this is certainly a prospect that everyone has kept an eye on. Not only is he a sure tackler, but his ability to drop into coverage makes him a linebacker who will attract plenty of attention. Reminds some of former University of Miami and NFL standout Sean Spence because of his size and ability to make plays. A true difference maker.

Joshua Moore, WR, 6-4, 175, Pembroke Pines West Broward. This is one of the prospects who backs up what we were talking about when seeing these young men live – and as far back at the end of his ninth grade year – we had the opportunity to watch him perform in a game. He followed that spring performance up with a head-turning trip to McCallie, Tennessee where he started to receive plenty of attention. As we head toward the 2023 season, there are very few people across the nation that do not have this impressive talent on their radar.

Wilnerson Telemaque, DE, 6-6, 250, Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace. Another quality talent who started to turn heads as a freshman at Miami Northwestern, and by the end of his sophomore season with the Spartans, many college coaches knew exactly who he was. Has been a true difference maker this off-season as he continues to learn and make major strides. Will receive more and more attention this off-season and by the start of his junior year he will become a national recruit as he brings so much to the tables as a pass rusher and run stopper.
