Having been around high school football fields for over a half century – and watch these prospects LIVE – you tend to see things that many who watch film never get to view.
Part of the recruiting process is to be able to tell college coaches all about athletes – and while so many watch film and listen to others who have opinions, there is simply nothing like seeing athletes firsthand – and that is what has long separated us from anyone else who does it.
Seeing over 100 games LIVE each year gives us a major advantage, and as any college coaches will tell you, people who love the game and have a passion for it are the ones who make the best judge of talent.
Having “an eye for talent” is so overrated – and it plays out each and every year. Many who follow recruiting are more in it to get their own name out there than the athlete who needs the exposure, but that will never stop.
The position in south Florida has always been premier. Going back to the 50’s and 60’s all the way to the present time, running backs have taken a spotlight that college coaches continue to take advantage of.
As everyone knows by now – as you see us watching and supporting prospects year round, our main concern is exposing the athletes here in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
With the knowledge that hundreds and hundreds of college coaches check out the prospects in our database, we want to make sure everything is correct – and as we have done with the Class of 2022, 2023 and now wrapping up the 2024 class, the objective is to makes sure that all players are listed correctly, so the colleges and universities will have the opportunity to recruit them all.
Today, our final stop is with the 2024 running back prospects.
Among those running backs to keep an eye on this coming season include Khamani Alexander (Miami Belen Jesuit), Miami St. Brendan transfer Isaac Brown (Homestead), impressive freshman starter Davion Gause (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Shemar Irvin (Miami Christopher Columbus) and Plantation emerging standout Reginald Johnson.
The Class of 2024 also shines a spotlight on Jordan Jones (Hialeah Champagnat Catholic), versatile and multi-talented Ricky Joseph (Miami Beach), Malachi Keels (Miami Westminster Christian), Malik Kelsey (Sunrise Piper), Jordan Lyle (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas) and Chaz Milton Jr. (Somerset Academy South Homestead).
With Miami Edison standout Gerald Modest, this class will get plenty of attention – with a number of major colleges already showing plenty of interest in this game-changer. Also, A.J. Smith (Miami Booker T. Washington) and Jeffery Thomas (Hialeah Gardens Mater Academy) will be prospects to watch develop.
