SPRING FOCUS: Goleman Gators Continue To Turn The Corner

While winning football and Barbara Goleman High have never really gone together, times are indeed changing.

What head coach Ariel Cribeiro and his staff have done for this program over the past few years is truly amazing – and the success continues.

The Gators, who have produced some football prospects in the past, have now established a program where the rising seniors are taking control and being the leaders that this program has been searching for.

Coming off an 8-0 record, which included wins over Miami Springs (35-0), Hialeah Gardens (43-6), Dr. Krop (33-23), Westland Hialeah (40-0), Surge Academy (12-0) and Hialeah-Miami Lakes (42-14) in the regular season, and Miami Braddock (26-23) and Dr. Krop in the GMAC Inependent championship game, 33.26.

While this program has a number of underclassmen, it will be the Class of 2022 (rising seniors) who will tell the story.

Cribeiro wants his rising senior class to lead by example and show the younger prospects the ropes. He believes that it will create a positive environment and continue the winning ways.

The senior class is indeed very gifted – with standout Jamaal Joseph (RB, 5-11, 195) and Avari Marshall (Athlete, 5-9, 160 – 3.1 GPA) being the centerpieces of this program – as the Gators look to continue to win football games. Both Joseph and Marshall have shown that they are indeed playmakers who can spark this program – and that is something that this team needs heading into the 2021 season.

In addition, there are standout prospects Christian Beltran (WR, 5-7, 165, 2.63 GPA), Ethan Bradley (LB, 5-10, 185 – 2.61 GPA), Nicholas Erviti (OL, 6-4, 295 – 2.63 GPA), Johnathan Gomez (DL, 6-0, 260), David Guggino (OL, 6-2, 265 – 2.8 GPA), Jose Hernandez (QB, 5-10, 135), Sebastian Hernandez (OL, 6-2, 270 – 2.73 GPA), Dorian Hodge (WR, 6-2, 170), Lucas Medina-Arambulo (Athlete, 6-0, 180) and defensive lineman Andres Vallejo (5-10, 235 – 3.42 GPA).
