The one thing that we will continue to do during this pandemic and throughout the 2020 season is promote every athlete in south Florida.
No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, we will promote EVERY PROSPECT in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
There has to be a time when you as fans – and many of you – who are college coaches – need to understand that everyone is NOT cut out to evaluate and project.
It happens all the time where you get football fans and journalists entrusted to rank players and give their evaluation, and just because they see players compete – whether it be on film or live – they believe that they have that “magical eye for talent” – and the truth is they don’t. What they do is hurt athletes greatly by overrating or underrating them.
We tell you over and over again, but it’s worth mentioning about football prospects in south Florida.
It doesn’t matter what year the athlete happens to be, if they can play, they will lineup at the high school varsity level.
You hear all the time. Hard work pays off, and it certainly has for so many south Florida athletes.
Because of the many opportunities these athletes have to work during the off season, you can often see the results of the hard work and dedication that so many athletes put in.
After all the Power 5 and upper level Division 1 football prospects have their scholarships, you still have thousands of football players statewide who are impact players. It’s always been that way.
Not everyone can be 6-5, 300 or run a 4.4 (40), but there are tons of prospects in south Florida who can play the game, and in the end, that is what sets this area apart from so many.
