Who Are The Top Players & What Roles Will They Play During The Season?
Western Prospect JoJo Vega Continues To Turn Heads

By seeing football talent perform live in camps, combines, 7-on-7 tryouts, practices and games has given us a major advantage in covering football for half a century.

Bringing you the prospects that don’t have the stars next to their names has earned us a reputation of uncovering more talent that the average person just does not know about.

Look at the work we do 365 days a year – and there is simply nothing else that needs to be said. Our dedication has been recognized by coaches, players, school administrators and colleges across the country – and do not look for that to stop any time soon.

As we do every single day of the year, we bring you something that you didn’t know yesterday, and as the new year begins, you can guarantee that Year No. 50 will be the same as the first year we started to do this.

VEGA PROFILE

PLAYER: JoJo Vega

POSITION: RB/KR

SCHOOL: Davie Western

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 5-6

WEIGHT: 165

SCOUTING: For the past two years, head coach Adam Ratkevich and his Wildcats have been churning out marquee talent that has been promoted and recognized locally, statewide and nationwide. But as great as those elite athletes have been, it’s those prospects who don’t get the spotlight that deserve the attention.

This past season – as this team put together two straight playoff wins – those big time football players really made a difference, but it was also players like Vega, who may not be the biggest prospect on the field, but certainly filled up the stat sheet with carries from the line of scrimmage and kickoff returns.

This is truly one of those engines that make a team go – with speed, hard running and a positive attitude that spreads throughout the team.

Watch him run and you are amazed at what he can do. If he gets out in the open, he has the ability to take it the distance – and with one year left at the high school level – he is already receiving college attention, which signals that recruiter are indeed doing their homework.

From the staff at South Florida High School Sports and WQAM, we wish you a Happy & Safe New Year!
