Who Are The Top Players & What Roles Will They Play During The Season?
Miami High’s Versatile Samaurie Dukes Is Jumping Into The Spotlight At The Right Time

The one thing that we will continue to do during this pandemic and throughout the 2020 season is promote every athlete in south Florida.

No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, we will promote EVERY PROSPECT in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Having the pleasure of watching more football prospects LIVE in game conditions than any other source, we discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.

Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.

DUKES PROFILE

PLAYER: Samaurie Dukes

POSITION: CB/WR

SCHOOL: Miami High

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 5-10

WEIGHT: 170

SCOUTING: If you want to hear the real story on any athlete, just talk to their head coach.

While many schools want to push their athletes – and for good reason – veteran coaches understand that if you stretch the truth about a prospect, it will come back to you and colleges will never take your word again.

During these tough times – with no spring, summer or sanctioned events that usually add exposure – high school coaches are often the link between the athlete and colleges. That link is often the last word in receiving a college scholarship or getting some financial assistance.

At Miami High, head coach Corey Smith has been around the game long enough to know how important a coach’s role in the recruiting process is, and that’s why his input on someone like Dukes is so vital moving forward.

This senior is one of the most versatile athletes in south Florida. A gifted prospect who has done everything he can to make himself as important to any team he plays for.

On offense, his speed, ability to separate from the secondary and move the chains was so valuable during a playoff season for the Stingarees in 2019.

His ability to catch those balls out of the slot position kept defenses off balance and was a huge reason why this program improved so much.

In the secondary, his knowledge of the receiver position helped him in many ways, combining his speed and toughness to make plays.

Once the 2020 season begins, this is going to be someone who will really turn heads and colleges will see exactly what he brings to the table.
