The one thing that we will continue to do during this pandemic and throughout the 2020 season is promote every athlete in south Florida.
No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, we will promote EVERY PROSPECT in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Having the pleasure of watching more football prospects LIVE in game conditions than any other source, we discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.
Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.
THE LACAYO PROFILE
PLAYER: Manny Lacayo
POSITION: OL
SCHOOL: Somerset Academy Silver Palms
CLASS: 2021
HEIGHT: 5-11
WEIGHT: 235
SCOUTING: When it comes to leadership and someone to look up to, it is something that is frankly understated when it comes to team sports.
If you have a leader, someone who works year round to improve, gets it done on the football field and is a model student in the classroom, you have someone who just may be the most valuable all-around player on any team.
As the 2020 season unfolds, head coach Javi Valdes views this soon to be four-year starter as the type of athlete who has helped to mold and shape this rising program.
In Lacayo, you have a versatile linemen who goes up and beyond to help this program improve and win games, and while several colleges have been very interested in this leader, this season will certainly tell a lot about this young man’s future.
While running fast and being able to get it done physically is important – when you can do it all, there is simply no replacing that.
