The great thing about football in south Florida is all the talent there is to choose from.
It seems that every year, a new face emerges on the scene that very few had the opportunity to watch the year before.
While this pandemic has prevented so many prospects from jumping on the radar like every season – there are others who left 2019 with enough exposures to keep them fresh in the minds of those who follow and recruit.
As many are quick to push combines and 7-on-7 events as tools in rating and ranking prospects, game film and seeing these athletes live is what will end up making the difference at the next level and beyond.
With college offers being handed out in record numbers this spring, we are finding that many colleges have done their homework by seeing these standout football prospects in the past – or going back and watching plenty of film.
PLAYER: Jah-Mal Williams
SCHOOL: Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons
SCOUTING: When it comes to producing top-flight football talent, head coach Matt Dubuc and staff have done an amazing job.
That is why this program continues to be a major destination – year round – for colleges and universities to come and check out the tremendous talent.
The thing that colleges love about Williams is his size, athletic ability, passion for the game and knack of picking things up quickly.
Even though there hasn’t been a spring and not much of a summer, those who have offered and are still recruiting him, fully know what this young man is capable of doing at the next level.
If you watch what he did last season for this playoff team, you will see someone who showed that with hard work and natural maturity, he will be a major force.
When this season begins, this is truly someone that will continue to pick up plenty of momentum, and as those before him have done, will continue to improve and get better every year.
