South Florida Senior Linebackers Search For A Spotlight

We already know that the pandemic cut into the recruiting for the Class of 2022 more than any other class – with two missed springs for exposure.

This group has been busy over the past year, sending out film and getting word out to colleges and universities that they are out there and have so much to offer.

While the 26 days in June did open up some new doors that were closed over the 14-month period, it may not have been enough.

Even though we are currently in another “Dark Recruiting Period”, the time that many spent on college campuses has given coaches an opportunity to use this time to evaluate, and as many are not optimistic about attaining that scholarship, others are remaining upbeat, knowing that there is still a school for everyone.

During the summer, we will continue to shine that spotlight on the senior class, giving them additional exposure – and as we are NOT focused on their “elite” players, we are opening up avenues for the thousands of college coaches who follow us every day.

Today, we bring you a group of senior linebackers – many have already reached the radar screen – while others are still looking for that recognition that just mat direct college coaches in their direction.

SOLID LINEBACKER PLAY AWAITS IN 2021

There are several senior linebackers who have been in that mix for a number of months. Many are already on lists that colleges use.

Prospects such as nationally-rated Wesley Bissainthe (Miami Central), Kheylan Martin-Brown (Miami Central), recent Coastal Carolina commit Tray Brown (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons), recent Coral Gables transfer Terry Doctor (Miami Killian), Miami Gulliver Prep outside linebackers Bakari Edwards and  Jonathan Fyne, FSU commitment Omar Graham (Fort Lauderdale Stranahan), heavily recruited Leon Hart (Miami Edison - OLB), standout student/athlete Gabriel Herrera (Miami Monsignor Pace), Harvard-bound standout Jaeden Kinlock (Plantation American Heritage) and versatile national recruit Travious Lathan (Miami Gulliver Prep).

The south Florida senior linebacker group also includes Tiwan McCloud, Hallandale (OLB), fast-rising Christian Murphy (Fort Lauderdale Dillard - OLB), Marcus Murray, Jr. (Miramar), recent TRU Prep transfer Knight Nakanishi (Davie Western - MLB), Dade Christian transfer Jeremiah Noel, Hallandale (OLB), versatile three-year starter Jayvon Only (Miami Gulliver Prep), Dylan Reid (Miami Central) and Plantation transfer Keyondre Young (Miami Central).
