As you already know when it comes to marquee games in south Florida, the #305 and #954 will take center stage with key matchups every week.
Because many schools are looking for that national recognition it has become vital for them to step up to the plate and make the schedule as competitive as possible.
Tonight, while there will be numerous games across the two counties – and beyond – there are three Top 20 matchups that we will be keeping our eye on.
After losing to nationally recognized teams in the first two weeks, Miami Christopher Columbus and Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas come into tonight’s contest at 1-1. This is a game that should be played every year – without question.
How good are the Miami Palmetto Panthers? Does Miami Southridge have a chance to win the district for the second time in three years? We will have the answer to those questions at around 10:30.
The final spotlight game will focus on two national powers. In a game that figured to be a matchup of unbeaten teams. Plantation American Heritage lost their open to national power Milton, Georgia, but bounced back last week.
Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna lost a tough Broward County National Showcase game against California’s St. John Bosco, but the Lions didn’t bounce back last week, dropping an overtime contest to Blanche Ely!
