Ever since the end of the 2025 high school football season, Miami-Dade and Broward Counties have been in the spotlight.
Whether it was transferring from one school to the next, re-classifying or standing out in 7-on-7 events, camps or combines, area football talent has made an impact.
While several underclassmen have been doing their thing for colleges and universities to watch across the country, there are some rising seniors in the Class of 2027 who have been turning heads with their play.
As spring football is on the horizon, and we continue to bring you hundreds and hundreds of players to keep an eye on, today we bring you some prospects that are already on the map and continue to receive attention from media, recruiting services and fan websites.
As this is just a sampling of talent, we will certainly bring you players that are making news right up until the start of the season.
Among the talent that has been on display incudes Quartavius Lyons Jr. (Miami Central), who re-classified from 2028 and is heavily recruited, Caleb Saint Fleur (LB/EDGE, Hollywood McArthur), a versatile performer who was MVP at the Miami Rivals.com event as an edge rusher and the following week turned heads at the Under Armour camp in Orlando as a linebacker.
Under-the-radar standout Andre Hyppolite (Athlete/DB, North Miami Beach) is one of veteran head coach Jeff Bertani’s versatile players who will line up everywhere.
Austin Coles (TE/WR, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas) made the move this spring from Rhode Island – while Angelo Smith (DB, Hollywood Chaminade Madonna) continues to follow in some rather large footsteps.
After coming over from Miami Norland, versatile Alan Blackshear (DB, Miami Carol City) captured the MVP at the Rivals.com event and continued to shine in on the 7-on-7 circuit.
No matter where he has gone this off-season, Jayden Dean (OL, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas) has been talked about as one of the most technically sound offensive centers. He has been picking up plenty of interest.
Some of the other football talent that has been doing well includes freakish three sport (soccer and basketball) talent Stive Bentley-Keumajou (OL/DL, Coral Gables), Chaminade-Madonna transfer Lee Prince (RB, Miami Carol City), Miami Immaculata LaSalle three-year varsity starter Phillip Jones Jr. (EDGE, Miami Central), Temorris Campbell Jr. (LB, Miami Carol City), Troy Cameron Goodwin Jr. (DB, Miami Carol City) and defensive back Tyre Lloyd (Hollywood McArthur).
Other players ready to make a statement this spring include Gerren Bray (OL, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), Walter Olden II (WR, Davie Western), two-year varsity starter Chase Goodrich (DL, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas) and under-the-radar prospect Canyon Henry (TE/LB, Miami Westminster Christian).
Other prospects picking up some off-season momentum are Brendan Beery (QB, Miami Gulliver Prep), gifted Bryan Bynes (WR/DB, Coconut Creek Monarch), Edan Richardson (EDGE, Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy) and Freddie Smith (DL, Fort Lauderdale).
We will continue to spotlight talent – in all classes – this spring and into the summer.
