Recruiting News

Miami-Dade/Broward OL Continue To Improve

We are less than two months until the start of spring football in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties and every position is working hard to improve.

When college coaches head south, many recruits will want to showcase their many skills at each position. Remember, college scholarships are attained from December tpo August and not so much during the season.

With that in mind, the work that is put in now will truly pay off from an individual and team standpoint.

With many combines and camps being held – along with workouts and schools – this is the time of year when it all comes together.

When many of these student/athletes left the 2022 season, they were smaller and not as mature and skilled as they are right now.

The combination of hard work and growth will most likely produce a much different recruit than last November or December – the last time college coaches had the opportunity to see these young men perform.

One of the positions in this two county area that has been getting better and better are offensive linemen. With individual and team events, each lineman has been offered the opportunity to improve, and in some cases, change the way they have been recruited.

Here is look at some of the rising seniors who entered the off-season as prospects to keep an eye on – in the 2024 Class:

From Raynor Andrews (Miami Norland -G) to Izick Jean-Baptiste (Miramar Everglades),

David Bassan (Fort Lauderdale NSU University School -T/G), Nathan Julian Blanc (Miami Northwestern), Zack Boehly (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons - T), Lonnie Brady (Homestead) and Michael Brennan (Weston Cypress Bay - T), the line prospects have truly come a long way.

Add in Blake Brewer, Miami Christopher Columbus - C/G), Jackson Campbell (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna - G), Martaz Charles (Fort Lauderdale Stranahan), Deymein Chavarry (Davie Western), Keon Daceus (Coconut Creek), Jabari Dukes (Miami Monsignor Pace - G) and Chanellson Exume (Miami Edison) and the talent bar continues to be raised at the position.

Because of the success of many teams throughout the course of a season, prospects such as Albert Jones (Miami Central), Adrian Laing (Miramar), Ricardo Martinez (Miami Palmetto), Jonathan Mejia (Miami Palmetto), Daniel Mincey (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons - T) and Luke Moise (Miami Central) continue to turn heads.

The 2024 class also boasts standouts such as Christian Nieves (Homestead South Dade - C), Anthony Reed (Homestead South Dade), Keion Reyes (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna - T), Caleb Riley (Miami Norland), William Roberts III (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas - T), Jonathan Rodriguez (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons - T), William Rothmiller III (Miami Central - G), Matthew Rubio (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas - C), Roman Ruiz (Fort Lauderdale Stranahan), Teko Shoats (Miami Central), Aron Stephen (Miami Southridge), George Stubbs Jr. (Miami Carol City), Brian Suarez (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), Devan Taylor (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons - G), Jimmy Williams III (Plantation American Heritage - T), Jordan Williams (Miami Killian), Vincent Blanding (South Miami) and Josh Zeikowitz (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna).

THERE ARE MORE ON THE WAY.

In addition to those prospects mentioned, here are some others to keep an eye on as well. Remember, it there are changes to be made – whether it’s position, name of schools, please let us know (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
