From the moment that George Stubbs and his staff took the reins at Miami Carol City last season, there was a buzz around the community.
With one of the strongest alumni bases in south Florida, this school had dropped out of the spotlight for a few years, and for longtime football fans, that didn’t sit well at all.
If you’ve followed high school football for any length of time, you already know that when talking state playoffs, it has usually included the Chiefs, so when this program finished 7-4 and in second place in District 14-2A, there was something to cheer about.
While the school size has changed over the years, the passion for this football program has not changed. Having a winning season and advancing to the state playoffs (losing to Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons) was enough to look into the future with plenty of optimism.
As the off-season began there was a feeling that the 2025 season would see this team move back into contention and have the talent to compete as winning the final five games of the regular season will back up.
There is a strong rising senior (2026) class to go with some impressive underclassmen. Expect this team to make plenty of noise this coming season and it will start this spring an into the summer.
