On a weekend that saw two of the major brands host combines in south and central Florida, The Event/Make A Play hosted a very competitive 7-on-7 tournament at Austin Tindall Park in Kissimmee.
Teams representing 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U and Varsity came together for two days of competition.
They came from Atlanta, Gulf Shores, Alabama and several destinations from throughout Florida.
Teams came to compete from Sarasota (941 Recruits), Clewiston, Muck Boys, Lake County, Tampa and two teams from Miami-Dade County.
One of those teams from Miami-Dade, Public Enemy (Dade Christian prospects) – stacked with some impressive talent – came away with the title, beating out some outstanding teams that were loaded with plenty of athletes, but this team was indeed special.
Public Enemy has some impressive rising seniors (Class of 2022) on the 7-on-7 roster – with Myles Alston (LB/DE, 5-11, 230), Darian Anderson (DB/Athlete, 5-11, 175), Gary Cribbs (WR, 5-8, 150), Rayshun James (LB/DE, 6-2, 195), Torreyon Thomas (WR, 5-8, 165) and Josh Webbe (RB, 5-8, 160).
The rising junior class also has some impressive football prospects who will have the opportunity to use this championship as a springboard to spring, which is a few weeks away. Athlete such as Kameron Brantley (WR, 6-0, 165), William Fowles (WR. 6-3, 190), Jordan Garvin (DB, 5-9, 160), Rayquan Adkins (DB, 5-11, 165) and Rashard Henry (LB/DE, 6-2, 230). Class of 2024 versatile standout Theandre Ballon Jr. (DB/OLB, 6-0,190) is also a solid talent.
In addition, there are Donald Burch, Jaden Webbe, Tay Rowe, Delvin Robinson and Marquise Wright to name a few.
