5 Miami-Dade/Broward Prospects For Wednesday

While getting to see prospects live across Miami-Dade and Broward County year-round has long been an objective.

At the many events we have the opportunity to attend, college and high school coaches are appreciative that our evaluations find their way into the hands of coaches at all levels, giving our local athletes the valid exposure needed to attain a scholarship.

Because not every football player can play at a high level, the objective of what we do centers around giving EVERY football player at the high school level the same exposure for all to see.

Every week we bring you athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward County who shape the south Florida area.

Today, we bring you five prospects to keep an eye on:

2024 - Alexander Calmon, OL, 6-3, 300, Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian. It seems that every year, the Eagles and head coach Kirk Hoza produce impressive talent, and this young man is certainly no different. His ability to play anywhere up front on the offensive line has made him someone to keep an eye on. This young man plays the game the way it’s supposed to be played. Every play he goes hard from whistle to whistle and that is something that college coaches have already had the opportunity to see. His 3.55 grade point average in the classroom is a huge enhancement.

2024 - Jarvis Johnson, Athlete, 6-0, 210, Miami Westminster Christian. Whether it’s at the linebacker position or running back, here is one of the most under-recruited football talents in south Florida. His ability to play this game at a high level is starting to get recognized by college coaches. His speed and athleticism make him dangerous – on either side of the ball and on special teams. This is a player who will make an impact this coming season and into the future. He is that skilled and impressive.

2025 - Lewon Lurry Jr., DE, 6-3, 225, Miami Northwestern. Having watched him play several times during the past two years, this is a quick, agile and smart football talent. His ability to be a run stopper as well as a solid pass rusher has given the Bulls another star on the horizon. He is indeed a playmaker, and you will see a lot more of him in 2023. Has the ability to be very special for a team that will look to rebuild.

2025 - Jaleel Walters, Athlete, 6-0, 170, Coconut Creek Monarch. After starting his career off at Pompano Beach High, this impressive talent will showcase his many skills this coming season as he makes the move to play for the Knights. No matter where you line him up, he is indeed an impact player. As a safety, he will hit you, so be aware of where he is always at. His ability to make plays on the offensive side of the ball is also a reason that college coaches are already aware of what he brings to the table.

2026 – Willie Wilson, WR/CB, 5-11, 150, Homestead Somerset Silver Palms. One of the fast-rising stars in south Florida, those who follow high school football need to get out and actually watch him perform in a game. The way he plays and handles himself, he is certainly NO rising sophomore. His skill level and demeanor will only thrust him into a much brighter spotlight. His seven catches for over 100 yards in the spring game has brought attention that his coaches already knew about. Can’t wait to see more of him in 2023.
