State-Rated Delray Atlantic Will Test Coconut Creek Tonight

While there are several key district games this week, very few will have the impact that Delray Beach Atlantic and Coconut Creek will have this evening.

When the two south Florida powers kick things off at 7:00 in Coconut Creek, the District 14-5A title will be very much at stake – even with both teams still having another game after this evening.

For head coach Jamelle Murray and his state-rated Eagles, this is yet another chance for them to show the rest of the state that they are indeed a force in 5A.

With a talented senior (2026) class that includes prospects such as Horace Glenn III (CB/Athlete), Mark Hanniford (WR), Zayvion “Big Zay” Hayes (DL/TE), James Jones (WR/Athlete), Tyrelle Owens (DB), Kemari Walcott (Slot), and Terrell Wilson (DB).

There are also juniors Ky’Shawn Byrd (S/WR), Dereion Darby (RB), Jamir Johnson (DE), and Omari St. Fort (RB).

There is also talented sophomores (2028) Justin Barrera (WR) and quarterback Pedro Martinez and Ethan Hook (LB).

For veteran coach Chris Yeargin and his Cougars, there is plenty of elite talent as well.

Seniors (2026) such as Jordan Thompson (RB), Khameron Baker (LB/DE), Zanii Miller (Athlete), Tevin Sutherland (DE), Arron Power (QB/Athlete), Isaiah Sam (DE), and Sebastien Midi (DB).

The junior (2027) class is also stacked with talent such as Everett Butler (WR), Keyondre McClover (WR) and Isaiah Calixte (DB/WR).

The future also looks bright with 2028 sophomores Cayden Delions (RB), Josiah Sanchious (QB), Davion Lane (DL), Tatetreon Isom (CB/WR), and freshman Dorrian Simmons (WR).
