South Florida Seniors Are On The Clock

Ever since the end of the 2023 season when the Class of 2024 searched for a college to attend, that rising senior class was ready and waiting.

When it comes to talent in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, there is simply no other place in the country that has the depth – especially when it comes to Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

While there are still talented young men who are still looking from last year’s senior class, the next wave of talent has been committing to schools nearly every day and is solidly on the clock.

The Class of 2025 is ready to take the spotlight and make an impact this season. With so much to offer, there are always going to be those who are overlooked – with the transfer portal truly making a difference.

In Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, there are so many football players in the senior class that need the exposure, and today we bring you five Class of 2025 players to keep an eye on:

Brian Delrio, WR, 5-8, 160, Miami True North Classical Academy – 4.6 GPA. Here is someone who has truly made himself a player that colleges and universities will flock to. Not only does he get it done on the football field, but in the classroom as well. Finished off his junior season with 1,205 offensive yards and 12 touchdowns. He is very dangerous as a kick and punt returner, giving his team a huge spark.

Terrell Gordon, Jr., RB/CB, 5-10, 160, Miami Northwestern. Track & Field. Yet another two-way prospect who is equally as effective as a running back, where he hits the hole quick and uses his track speed to get into the secondary. Speaking of the secondary, his ability to cover and make huge plays is something that the Bulls will benefit from this coming season. He will certainly be huge for first year head coach Teddy Bridgewater and the Bulls.

Opious Knox, Jr., CB/WR/QB, 5-11, 165, Fort Lauderdale Stranahan 3.0 GPA. After three seasons as a catalyst at Coral Springs, this impressive athlete brings his talent to play for first year head coach Jackie Candy and the Dragons. No matter where you put him, he will make an impact and will never complain about the role he plays. This is someone who will make a difference this coming season.

Ethan Lopez, RB, 5-10, 200, Miami Palmetto – 3.5 GPA. If this offense is going to be successful this coming season, they will need his experience and talent to get it done. While the Panthers may have lacked the balance on the offensive side of the ball in 2023, it appears that things will change for head coach Mike Manasco and this team. He has the size, speed and experience to give this team a boost as they have an eye on a first ever state championship appearance.

Antrell McWhirter, SS/LB, 5-10, 175, Sunrise Piper. Whether on defense or on special teams, this Plantation transfer is going to be special – with the ability to lead and make plays. His play at linebacker affords him the opportunity to come up and play the run or drop back in coverage on passing downs. Programs are always looking for versatile playmakers who will do anything to help their team win.
