North Miami, Hialeah Play For District Title Tonight

The great thing about district football play in south Florida is that so many titles come down to two teams.

When the North Miami Pioneers and the Hialeah Thoroughbreds kick things off this evening (7:00), District 15-3M will be decided at Milander Stadium.

While North Miami comes into tonight’s contest at 2-5, and Hialeah walks down the road with an impressive 5-1 record, the only thing that truly matters is both teams are 2-0 in the district.

The Pioneers are the defending district champion and have traveled a much tougher round to reach this game – with quality opponents up and down the schedule with head coach Gerald Cox.

Coach Tony Smith has gotten Hialeah back on track with some huge wins this season – and come into tonight’s home game as the favorite.
