Large Spotlight To Shine In Miami-Dade & Broward Counties Tonight

With four consecutive days of football in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties this week, Day 2 certainly has some key matchups to keep an eye on.

With the Jewish Holiday forcing some games to be played one day earlier, today will take center stage as Week 4 unfolds.

While both counties have some quality games, there are two spotlight games in Broward County to keep an eye on. Check out these two contests:

No. 16 Davie Western at No. 4 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, 7. Two teams who started this season in the spotlight as part of the second annual Broward County National Football Showcase, and the spotlight continues to shine.

Both programs are coming off thrilling games – with the Raiders and head coach Roger Harriott holding on at home, 37-36, to defending 2S state champion Cocoa.

The Wildcats and head coach Adam Ratkevich were upset at home against a surging Coconut Creek program.

As far as state ranking, this game means just about everything as each program is looking to stay in the hunt for a state title. The Raiders have won four straight.
