Focus In Region Semifinals Is On Class 6A Tonight

As the Road To Miami is now well in focus and teams are thinking about playing those state title games at Pitbull Stadium at FIU, tonight will certainly clear things up for several Miami-Dade and Broward County teams.

With several teams trying to realize goals that were set after the 2023 season, the Region Semifinal round will shine a spotlight on programs who are looking to get to that next round.

CLASS 6A IS VERY COMPETITIVE.

As many of the seven classes who are still playing football across south Florida, the one group that will truly be entertaining in this round will be Class 6A.

All four of the programs competing in this round are from Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

NO. 1 SEED MIAMI SOUTHRIDGE WILL BE TESTED

All season long, head coach Pierre Senatus and his Miami Southridge Spartans (9-2) have been looking to restore the past successes of the Spartans.

When they square off with a Coconut Creek Monarch (7-4) team that came within one game of advancing to the state title game in 2023.

Head Coach Calvin Davis and the Knights have run a gauntlet of quality teams and believe they have an advantage despite being on the road for this 7:30 kickoff.

The winner of the game will play for the Region 4-6A titles between No. 3 Pembroke Pines West Broward (8-3) or No. 2 Sunrise Piper (10-1) next Friday.

WEST BROWARD WILL TEST SURPRISING PIPER

Nobody has to tell Sunrise Piper head coach Quentin Short about being a target. His 10-1 Bengals have been in that position all year.

When they host Pembroke Pines West Broward (8-3) and head coach Brian McCartney this evening (7:00), it will be another gifted program that will look to derail his team.

This all-Broward Region Semifinal has all the makings of a tremendous game against two solid teams that have been turning heads all year.

The winner of this game will play for the Region 4-6A title next Friday against either No. 4 Coconut Creek Monarch (7-3) at No. 1 Miami Southridge (9-2).
