Five Miami-Dade/Broward 2027 Prospects To Watch

We are now less than two months before the start of the 2026 high school football season.

The months between last December and the end of August have been filled with numerous exposure opportunities for prospects throughout the state of Florida – as 7-on-7  events, camps, combines, spring and summer workouts have given athletes an opportunity to showcase their many skills and maturity.

Keep in mind that an athlete from the age of 14-18 is an ever-changing body of work. Natural growth and maturity coupled with conditioning and more and more experience add up to something that keeps college coaches and recruiters busy watching and charting progress.

The one thing about athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties is the spotlight is always shining. This are is perhaps the most recruited of any region in the country, and for that reason, prospects are always on the clock – in every class.

But the one group that continues to get more than their share of that spotlight are the seniors – and that is where our focus is today.

With the window starting to close for the seniors in the Class of 2027, we look at five gifted football players – a few have already made their commitment for the immediate future – while some others are still out there, working harder than ever before.

Here are five 2027 players to keep an eye on:

Bryan Bynes, WR, 6’0, 170, Coconut Creek Monarch – 4.0 GPA. Track & Field. Baseball. One of the football players who has taken off the past year, showcasing his many skills and giving head coach Calvin Davis and the Knights a talented producer in three sports. He happens to come from a family that has been competitive and successful through the years. With a solid spring and early summer behind him, this could be a very impressive season.

Zion Joseph, DE/TE, 6’3, 225, North Miami – 2.6 GPA. After watching this young man perform this off-season, the Pioneers and head coach Gerald Cox have themselves a quality defensive force on the line. He is becoming a quality pass rusher who plays off what the other prospects on the line bring to the game. In the spring contest, he was among the leading tacklers who showed that what he learned in the off-season will go a long way in the success of this program in 2026. One of many players this program felt made major strides in the past few months.

Malik Laurent, DT/DE, 6’4, 270, Miramar. This recent Jacksonville State University commitment has been on the radar for a minute after his hard work and dedication as a defensive standout who has taken the past year very seriously. Watch him compete in the 5v5 line events and you can see why plenty of schools were after him during the off-season. He is big, strong and very skilled, learning from some quality coaching. Someone who is due for a huge final season. First year head coach George Stubbs and the Patriots are building something special.

John Pudliner, DE/TE, 6’4, 220, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. Yet another piece added to the seven-time defending state champions as he brings plenty of talent as a defensive edge rusher, who comes in from Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri. Watch him perform, as he did during the spring, and you can see that he will indeed be a huge plus for this Raiders’ team that is ready for an amazing eighth consecutive state crown. Had been a receiver early in his career. The Raiders and head coach Roger Harriott are loading up again.

Jamal Robinson Jr., WR, 6’2, 180, Miami Central. After spending last season at Hialeah Gardens Mater Academy, this University of Central Florida commitment recently joined second-year head coach Derrick Gibson and the Rockets, and is expected give his new team a major boost at the position. This is an elite pass catcher who is one of the best in the state and will have the opportunity to display his many skills against an impressive group of opponents.
