NEXT UP: Western’s Jullian Lewis Has Arrived!

The best thing about the off-season is getting the opportunity to see some impressive football prospects perform.

No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, these athletes in south Florida continue to elevate their standing by competing pretty much year-round.

Having the pleasure of watching so many football prospects LIVE in game conditions, we have that opportunity to discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.

Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.

LEWIS PROFILE

PLAYER: Jullian Lewis

POSITION: WR

SCHOOL: Davie Western

CLASS: 2022

HEIGHT: 6-2

WEIGHT: 200

SCOUTING: Two years ago, as a sophomore, playing for Stranahan, this impressive young man ran a pattern over the middle, caught the ball and extended the play for a first down. From that moment, many knew that this was going to be something special.

After a year that never fully got untracked because of Covid, his move to Western was more of an incomplete. The season had its share of ups and downs, and like so many, Lewis never truly got into the flow.

What didn’t slow down was his maturity, growth and development as an athlete. The offers started to roll in – for good reason because of how hard he has worked to get better – and elevate the talent bar.

Here you have a large receiver, who has speed, size and plenty of skill. He created mismatches this past season – and you can almost guarantee that he will do the same in 2021.

Watch him run routes and you are impressed how agile and fluid he is.

While he recently decommitted to Georgia Tech, you can almost guarantee that the race to land this difference maker will continue to heat up.

He is playing 7-on-7 this winter/spring for Defcon – and is one of many who have assembled a very good program.
