NEXT UP: Blanche Ely’s Solomon Dade Making Major Strides

The best thing about the off-season is getting the opportunity to see some impressive football prospects perform.

No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, these athletes in south Florida continue to elevate their standing by competing pretty much year-round.

Having the pleasure of watching so many football prospects LIVE in game conditions, we have that opportunity to discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.

Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.

DADE PROFILE

PLAYER: Solomon Dade

POSITION: DL/TE

SCHOOL: Pompano Beach Blanche Ely

CLASS: 2022

HEIGHT: 6-2

WEIGHT: 265

SCOUTING: On a day where Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens was the center of attention at the MRE (Major Recruiting Exposure) Combine at Ives Estates Park, there were some other headliners as well.

With Owens sharing his many experiences with the coaches and athletes on hand, prospects such as Solomon Dade was doing what he has all off-season, putting himself out in front of people who can see him and perhaps put him on the radar.

As the off-season is unfolding, here is a football talent that was truly a playmaker in 2020. Just watch him play and you will be sold. Quick off the ball, upper body strong and has a motor that ensures that he plays whistle to whistle.

As he is learning more and more about the position, the one thing that he has been working on is technique, which will give him an alternative to getting to the passer – or stopping the run. He is a very athletic talent who will continue to get stronger and impress many. Now, he just needs to get the attention of college coaches who are searching for that athletic defensive lineman, who can also play on offense – as a tight end.

When you have someone who gets it done on the football field – as well as the classroom (3.5 GPA), you know why head coach C.J. Wimberly and the Tigers are certainly building this program back.
