Tellek Lockette Works Hard To Achieve Goals

There is a sense this spring and summer that this may be the most important time of year for all athletes.

With the pandemic forcing college coaches to miss out on two consecutive spring evaluation periods, college coaches will finally get to see and talk to recruits starting June 1, so there is a lot to catch up on.

Also, with the “transfer portal”, recruiting has truly changed - and the consensus among high school coaches is that it is not very good for student/athletes coming out of high school – and for prospects who are working hard to get a college scholarship, they are being short-changed from chasing their dream.

LOCKETTE PROFILE

PLAYER: Tellek Lockette

POSITION: OL

SCHOOL: Miami Northwestern

CLASS: 2022

HEIGHT: 6-4

WEIGHT: 295

SCOUTING: When the Bulls kick things off for the 2021 season, Tellek Lockette will take his place on the offensive line. It’s a position that he has occupied since his freshman season.

His growth and maturity have helped this line give the Bulls much success during his career.

The son of one-time Miami Northwestern standout Telly Lockette, there are very few prospects who have put in the work to get better. He attends everything and is always searching for ways to get better.

In the past year, he has grown nearly two inches and has put on over 15 pounds as college coaches are starting to send out offers – and using spring as the perfect time to tap into this impressive talent.

At a time when offensive linemen are being looked at by colleges across the country, here is a prospect who checks all the boxes – and that is a positive thing.
