NEXT UP: Homestead’s Daniel Lyons Continues To Impress

It has been a crazy off-season – with the pandemic still present, but you have to give it to the athletes who have dpone everything possible for exposure.

No matter what class they play in – or what college they have in mind, these athletes in south Florida continue to elevate their standing by competing pretty much year-round.

Having the pleasure of watching so many football prospects LIVE in game conditions, we have that opportunity to discover much more than the athletes that are hyped and pushed out by every recruiting service and fan website.

Anyone can watch a film and be an “expert”, but very few can make the effort to promote prospects nobody sees or talks about by watching them play.

LYONS PROFILE

PLAYER: Daniel Lyons

POSITION: DT

SCHOOL: Homestead

CLASS: 2022

HEIGHT: 6-5

WEIGHT: 280

SCOUTING: Having watched this impressive football players the past two years – as he made the move from Southridge to play for the Broncos.

There is no getting around the fact that he is bigger and stronger than last year – and as college coaches watch him – they are impressed at the way he clogs up the middle on running plays – while causing all kinds of problems for offensive linemen up front.

This is one of those young men who turns it up in the big games – against top competition – like he did against state-rated Venice in the playoffs. He is quick, strong and relentless when tracking down the quarterback or running back.

Lyons is that guy who you have to account for on every play – and that is not likely to change any time soon.
