SUMMARY: Football in south Florida is certainly getting better at all levels.
While much of the spotlight is often on our elite programs, who have their eye on state titles, there is a huge level of programs who are in this to develop and compete.
With this region of the country squarely in the spotlight, it is the perfect place to be for teams that continue to fly under the radar. College coaches and recruiting services are always watching and attending.
With off season events on hiatus this year because of Covid-19, it is tougher for teams like Varela to grab the spotlight for the seniors and the underclassmen.
With the 2020 season on the horizon, programs like this will need all the exposure they can to keep their many standouts in the mix for a college scholarships.
