QUICK HITS – Three Years In, St. Brendan Is Making Some Loud Noise

While the Coronavirus is dictating high school football, across the country, we can understand the need for ongoing exposure.

Because we promote high school football in south Florida year-round, there is no need to stop right now.

In the coming weeks, we will have a brief look at the school in south Florida in a segment that we call “QUICK HITS”.

Today, our “QUICK HITS” is back in Miami-Dade County, checking in on St. Brendan.

SUMMARY: In just two very short years, here is a program that has certainly thrust themselves into the landscape of south Florida high school football.

With a number of key players that some local schools have taken from this impressive program, it only illustrates how quickly and successful things are happening – right next door to defending 8A state champion Christopher Columbus.

This coming season will see a very talented program once again – with athletes who already have college football offers. As they will be independent for one more year, the schedule is loaded with Southwest Miami, Miami Belen Jesuit, Somerset Silver Palms, Naples First Baptist Academy, Westminster and Palmer Trinity.

Additions to the coaching staff include: Ivan Chicola, Garry-Oliver Choulette, Tobar Wilson, Devoris Dozier and a new Defensive Coordinator in veteran Steve Johnson.

For the past 50 years, we have spent more time on football fields than anyone in the country. From games to practices, camps, combines and 7-on-7 events, nobody has evaluated more football talent than we have – and as we are in the midst of a pandemic like no other time before – we will remain steadfast to promote all south Florida’s high school football prospects.
