QUICK HITS: Piper Rebuilds & Reloads With Some Impressive New Faces

While the Coronavirus is dictating high school football, across the country, we can understand the need for ongoing exposure.

Because we promote high school football in south Florida year-round, there is no need to stop right now.

In the coming weeks, we will have a brief look at the school in south Florida in a segment that we call “QUICK HITS”.

Today, our “QUICK HITS” heads back to Broward County with a trip to see Piper.

Summary: Just four short years ago, this was a program that was in the playoffs and things looked very promising for the Bengals.

A program always loaded with talent and tremendous coaching had lost student/athletes and prospects, and things were not headed in the direction that those who have followed high school football in south Florida had been used to.

Even though the talent started to come back – a number of key football players once again departed this off season – and that roster took another huge hit.

But through the negatives, a huge positive took place with the hiring of Alexander, who is the perfect coach to help turn this thing around for good.

Knowledge of the sport and the community from coaching in the area for years, this quality coach comes in and is ready to rebuild, and with many players staying around, he offers that they are making the right decision.

With outstanding coaches on hand, there is a feeling that this program, which has long received tremendous support from the administration, will start to make things happen this coming year.

As bleak as things looked when several players departed after last season, things are starting to look a lot more promising – with people in place who are ready to give everything they have to put this team back in the spotlight.

For the past 50 years, we have spent more time on football fields than anyone in the country. From games to practices, camps, combines and 7-on-7 events, nobody has evaluated more football talent than we have – and as we are in the midst of a pandemic like no other time before – we will remain steadfast to promote all south Florida’s high school football prospects.
