Summary: In his fourth year as head coach Joe Burmeister, a South Dade alumni, has done an amazing job with this program.

Along with Offensive Coordinator Antonio Robinson (former Green Bay Packer) and Defensive Coordinator

Anton Graham (2nd year), these South Dade alums have watched this program go from 0-7 in 2017 – with just 17 players on the team – to 2018, where the Patriots won twice in 10 games – with 43 players on the roster) 22 were freshmen that never played tackle football before.

In 2019, the team was 7-3 (with 42 players on the roster) They also captured the conference title with a 21-0 win over Palmer Trinity.

Last season, this improving program boasted seven student/athletes with scholarship offers - (2 with multiple Division 1 offers).

As the 2020 season approaches, this is a team ready to once again make a statement –

lost eight seniors (two of them that were starters). The entire defense returns with a few new additions.

Offensively, they have everyone back, with addition of some new key pieces.
