QUICK HITS: Miami Westminster Christian Looks To Grow From 2019 Playoff Appearance

While the Coronavirus is dictating high school football, across the country, we can understand the need for ongoing exposure.

Because we promote high school football in south Florida year-round, there is no need to stop right now.

In the coming weeks, we will have a brief look at the school in south Florida in a segment that we call “QUICK HITS”.

Today, our “QUICK HITS” moves to southeastern Miami-Dade County with a trip to Westminster Christian.

SUMMARY: You never know what will spike a football team in a positive direction – and for this program – it just may have been last year’s season-ending playoff loss to Miami Edison.

While many in south Florida are familiar with the past of this program, they aren’t familiar with Coach Holly, and the respect that he has from players and fellow coaches nationally.

What the Warriors have is a football coach who teaches and wins – and while things may look like an uphill climb right now, check his track record of building football programs and instilling discipline and knowledge of the game.

This is a program that has won in the past – and there is no hesitation, even with programs such as Chaminade-Mdonna. Calvary Christian, Edison and Somerset Silver Palms emerging in 3A – there is a feeling that this program can win once again.

The 2020 season will see a team that has some quality seniors, but there are also gifted underclassmen, who have the chance be very special.
